About the Role

Farmshelf is developing a new factory in Brooklyn for assembling our seed pod subscription boxes. The Production Supervisor will act as the single threaded leader for operations of the Farmshelf subscription factory.


  • Ensuring effective reception of materials from suppliers
  • Ensuring effective shipment of product with fulfillment providers
  • Responsible for establishing and ensuring adherence to IQC/OQC standards for raw materials and finished goods
  • Hiring and developing staff
  • Coordinating work schedules of 2-5 staff members
  • Working with inventory management software tools
  • Working with the Global Supply Manager to maintain and track inventory
  • Ensuring operations are safe, secure, and in compliance with all applicable laws and facility lease agreements
  • Provisioning tools and fixtures for storage, assembly, and fabrication operations
  • Coordinating all necessary facility maintenance
  • Written documentation of all operational procedures and tracking of adjustments
  • Evangelizing process improvement
  • Regularly reporting progress and budget allocations to leadership and company stakeholders


  • 4+ years in a manufacturing or warehouse environment of which at least 2+ years were in a managerial position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience hiring staff
  • Experience managing staff schedules
  • Willingness to lead setting up a new facility for a new product
  • Willingness to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, stoop down, and push and pull physical material on conveyance carts
  • Experience setting and motivating staff to reach goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean/JIT
  • Long term outlook for scaling operations with customer demand
  • Experience with Sanitation and Food Safety

This position is full time on site in Brooklyn, NY.
